Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need therapy?

Everyone could benefit from therapy at some point in their life. Life is full of highs and lows. Therapy can help you navigate the lows and celebrate the highs. It can give you a better understanding of yourself, as well as your past and what you want for your future. Therapy provides you with a professional, non-biased party for these discussions, which may look different than discussing certain things with your family or friends.

What should I expect in the first session?

The first session will be an extension of our 15-minute consultation call and will mainly focus on what is bringing you in, help us get to know each other more, and possibly start discussing goals for your therapeutic journey.

How long is each session?

Each session is 50 minutes long.

How long does therapy take?

The length of time spent in therapy is different for everyone! Some people are in therapy for a few weeks and some are in it for years. It’s dependent on your presenting concerns, goals, and availability. However, our goal as therapists is to help you accomplish your goals and actually get you out of therapy! Once you have terminated from therapy, you are always welcome to come back in the future if something else comes up that you want to work through.

How often will we meet?

Sessions are typically once a week, but can be more or less frequent depending on your presenting concerns and availability.

Do you see clients in-person or virtually?

Both! I provide in-person sessions for clients in Tampa, FL and virtual sessions for clients residing in the state of Florida. You can choose if you want in-person, virtual, or a hybrid format.
