About Me
My overall approach to therapy is person-centered and strengths-based. This means I want to help you find your inner strength and then help you use that strength to heal on your own. I am there to serve as a guide. Together, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, nurturing relationships, and fostering personal growth.
Qualifications:
I received my Master’s degree from the University of South Florida in Marriage and Family Therapy and my Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in Family and Child Sciences. I have worked in both a private practice and nonprofit setting and have experience working with families, couples, and individuals of all ages. I have specific training in working with foster care and adoptive families as well.
Specialties:
The Gottman Method
Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
Trauma-Informed/Inner Child Work
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
When I’m not in sessions, I like to spend time with family and friends, read, go on walks, practice yoga, and travel. Although I am a Florida native, my favorite place to be is in the mountains in North Carolina!
